Embark on a 5-day combination plan that will take you to discover the magic of the Galapagos Islands, exploring the wonderful islands of Santa Cruz and Isabela. This vacation offers a unique experience in which you will immerse yourself in the extraordinary biodiversity and captivating landscapes of this unique archipelago.
A five-day itinerary in the Galapagos Islands begins with a ferry and bus transfer to Santa Cruz Island. The second day includes a visit to the wetlands and a tour of Tintoreras Islet to see the marine fauna, followed by snorkeling. On the third day, you will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station to observe the island's endemic giant tortoises and other species. The fourth day includes a walk on the beach at Tortuga Bay, followed by a visit to the upper part of the island to see the tortoises in their natural state and the Twin Craters. The last day is a transfer to the airport for the flight back to the mainland.
DAY 1 - Transfer in - Santa Cruz - Isabela - Hotel
Arrival at BALTRA AIRPORT, our Galapagos National Park guide will welcome you and will take you to the corresponding buses for the transfer to the Itabaca channel where the ferries will take us to SANTA CRUZ ISLAND and then we will board the operator's buses to begin our journey to the passenger dock to take the regular boats to Isabela Island, in about 2 hours and 30 minutes we will be on the island. DAY 2.- Wetlands - Tintoreras Islet
A tour of the most representative marine-coastal wetlands of Galapagos. The wetland is the transition zone between the ocean and the land, and if there are elements that have demonstrated a very high level of adaptation, it is the wetlands.
Here in Galapagos they are home to a cactus, which is a species normally found in desert environments, with mangroves that are certainly species of humid ecosystems and coexist, cohabit, coexist and need each other and generate symbiosis. In the afternoon we will visit the Tintoreras Islet, we will make a tour around the islet to observe penguins, blue-footed boobies, pelicans and any marine fauna that is found at the time of the tour. Afterwards, we will arrive at the Islote tintoreras, where you will be able to observe colonies of marine iguanas, the channel of sharks tintoreras where you will be able to observe the sharks in a resting state and finally we will finish the walk in the beach of sea lions. We return to the boat to go snorkeling, where you can see sea turtles, penguins, sea lions, a variety of fish, sea urchins and starfish. This site is also done in double or single kayaks where you kayak along the islet and then snorkeling activity is performed. This tour lasts approximately 2h30 minutes.
DAY 3.- Isabela - Santa Cruz - Charles Darwin Station
In the morning we transfer to the passenger dock to Santa Cruz. In the afternoon we will visit the CHARLES DARWIN SCIENTIFIC STATION, where we can observe giant tortoises endemic to the island, land iguanas, finches on the trails, and visit the VAN STRALLEN INTERPRETATION CENTER, Return to the hotel Dinner and overnight.
DAY 4 - Sta Cruz - Tortuga Bay - Upper Part - Gemelos Craters
After a delicious breakfast, we will visit the TORTUGA BAY BEACH, where we will take a walk of approximately 45 minutes to reach the Playa Mansa, whose extension is approximately 900 meters, white sand formed by fish bones and white coral; considered a sanctuary for iguanas, sea turtles and other species where you can swim and perform activities such as swimming, beach games, among others. Return to the hotel at approximately 11:30 a.m. for lunch. In the afternoon, we will go to the HIGHER PART OF THE ISLAND, where we will visit RANCHO PRIMICIAS or CHATO II, in this spectacular place we will be able to find the tortoises in their natural state, we will continue to the CRATERES GEMELOS, where we will be able to observe climbing trees, ferns, mosses, orchids and also some species of Galapagos finches and frequently the beautiful "pájaro brujo" (witch bird). Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
DAY 5. Transfer Hotel - Airport
Breakfast, and departure from the hotel for our transfer to the airport to take our flight back to the continent.
