Embark on a fascinating 7-day, 6-night journey to explore Peru's natural and cultural treasures, with a special focus on the mystical Seven Colored Mountain, Vinicunca. Then, head to the Sacred Valley to discover ancient ruins and colorful markets. A travel itinerary that begins in Lima and continues with a tour of the city, visiting the Larco Museum, the Aliaga House and the Plaza de Armas, among other places. Then, you travel to Cusco for a city tour and visits to archaeological sites such as the Sacsayhuaman fortress. On the third day you visit Machu Picchu, followed by a free day in Cusco and an optional visit to the Cusco Planetarium. On the sixth day, there is an excursion to the 7 Colors Mountain and the seventh day is the day of departure from Cusco.

DAY 01 - CITY OF ORIGIN - LIMA
Upon arrival at the airport in Lima, a shuttle service will take you to your hotel. You will have the rest of the day free to explore the city. The Peruvian capital is a modern metropolis full of history, with some 10 million inhabitants, currently undergoing an exciting process of cultural and economic change.

DAY 02 - LIMA - LARCO MUSEUM & CITY TOUR
Get ready to explore Lima's old town, a Unesco World Heritage Site, which is filled with fascinating historic buildings.Start the tour with the Larco Museum, located in the traditional district of Pueblo Libre and housed in a beautifully restored viceregal mansion, which itself is built on top of a 7th century pre-Columbian pyramid.The museum has a very complete pre-Hispanic collection of gold and silver objects, as well as pieces of erotic art. Next, head to the Casa Aliaga, a colonial mansion granted in 1535 by the conquistador Francisco Pizarro to one of his captains, Jerónimo de Aliaga. This is the only house of the period that still belongs to the same family. Continue with a scenic tour of the colonial center. Visit the Plaza de Armas, where you can appreciate the grandiose architecture of the Spanish Empire. There you will find its magnificent Cathedral, built in the 16th century. Finish the tour returning to your hotel.

DAY 03 - LIMA - CUSCO/ CITY TOUR & ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITES
A shuttle will take you to the airport in Lima to take your flight to Cusco (it is suggested to book a flight that arrives before 11:00 a.m.). Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your selected hotel.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of this charming city, once the capital of the Inca Empire. The tour begins with a visit to the Convent of Santo Domingo, a large Renaissance-baroque complex, which was built over the Inca temple Coricancha. It was one of the most important temples dedicated to the cult of the sun and its foundations still stand out at the base of the convent. Ancient chronicles say that the temple was covered with gold leaf and filled with golden representations of nature. After visiting the Cathedral in the Plaza de Armas, head to the hills overlooking Cusco to visit the remains of the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, whose imposing walls offer a breathtaking panoramic view of Cusco. Visit the ruins of the temple and amphitheater of Qenqo, where it is believed that the Incas practiced rituals related to agriculture. Finally, visit Puca Pucará (red fortress in Quechua), an Inca military complex located on a prominent hill. You can still appreciate its dwellings, squares, baths, aqueducts, walls and towers.

DAY 4 | CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and taken to the Ollantaytambo train station to begin your adventure to Machu Picchu Pueblo on a route of approximately two and a half hours. Once on the train, you will travel observing the Andean landscapes during a journey of an hour and a half. After arriving at the Aguas Calientes station, our guide will be waiting for you and accompany you to the bus departure point. You will then take a bus for the 25-minute ride uphill to Machu Picchu, known as the "lost city of the Incas".
It is believed that this archaeological site was built in 1450 by the Inca Pachacutec as his vacation home. However, a century later, the city was abandoned after the Spanish conquest, escaping the destruction that struck other Inca settlements.Throughout the guided tour, you will have the opportunity to learn about the origins of this impressive citadel and explore its most outstanding monuments.
After completing the tour, you will take the bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will enjoy lunch at the restaurant of your choice.After lunch, you can explore the charming town and, at the appropriate time, you can board the return train. The train ride will take an hour and a half and will take you back to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will escort you back to your hotel in Cusco.

DAY 6 | CUSCO - VINICUNCA - CUSCO
Vinicunca or the mountain of 7 colors, is a natural work of art at 5,200 meters above sea level. Its tonalities are due to the accumulation of minerals over time, dragged by the waters of the mountain range, the winds and humidity. Start this adventure to Vinicunca leaving very early in the morning from Cusco in the direction of Cusipata where you will have breakfast. Continue with the tour and arrive at the starting point of the trek. The road is surrounded by beautiful landscapes of the Andes and guarded by the majestic Ausangate Mountain, one of the most important mountains of Cusco, considered a sacred entity since Inca times. After a few minutes at the viewpoint of the mountain to take some pictures and rest, you will start the hike back to Phullawasipata and then go by bus to Cusipata where you will enjoy lunch. After lunch, you will return to your hotel in Cusco.
