Camping- San Juan Cliff

In the province of Chimborazo, 45 minutes from the city of Riobamba and 10 minutes from the parish of San Juan, there is a peculiar road that goes to the city of Guaranda, there is a magical cliff in an area known as "La Chorrera de San Juan or San Juan de Escalada", because of the sources that provide water to the communities of the sector.

The wonderful "Acantilado" immediately enchants visitors from all over the world for its beautiful landscapes and trails where you can see birds and animals.

This site is very visited and protected by rock climbers, since it has 115 routes discovered so far in a wall of more than 80 meters high and with a lot of future for rock climbing at all levels of difficulty, this time we will visit this place to live an unforgettable camping experience and landscape!

Day 1
09:30 Departure.
First stop: Tambillo, stop to buy a snack, use the restrooms and use of ATMs if necessary.
Second stop: Primax gas station on the Latacunga-Pujilí ring road: to use the restroom and hydrate ourselves.
13:00 We will make a stop in Riobamba to enjoy a delicious typical lunch at Hornados Riobamba San Luis.
15:00 We will arrive at the Chorrera de San Juan, we will introduce ourselves to the group, we will make a small interaction to get to know each other better, we will load our equipment and walk about 2 km to reach our camping area.
16:00 We will start activities, setting up the tents, placing ourselves in the area with the best view of the Chimborazo Volcano.
18:00 We will light the campfire and begin to prepare our dinner with the flames of the fire, we will share as a group.
19:30 We will have dinner with the group, and when we are ready, we will get ready to sleep.

Day 2:
09:00 We will enjoy a hearty breakfast before stowing our gear and hiking back to the top of the cliff.
10:00 We will start to store our gear and prepare for the return trip.
12:00 We will walk back to the climber's lodge, and embark to Riobamba for a lunch stop.
13:45 Typical lunch
15:00 We board the bus to return to our point of return at 18:30.
