Galápagos: Santa Cruz – Sán Cristóbal – Combined Plan 5D/4N

DAY 1.- Transfer In - Hotel. Charles Darwin Station

Arrival at BALTRA AIRPORT, our Galapagos National Park guide will welcome you and will drive you to the corresponding buses for the transfer to the Itabaca channel where the ferries will take us to SANTA CRUZ ISLAND and then we will board the operator's buses to start our trip to the hotel where we will have lunch and check in. In the afternoon we will visit the CHARLES DARWIN SCIENTIFIC STATION, where we can observe giant tortoises endemic to the island, land iguanas, finches on the trails, and visit the VAN STRALLEN INTERPRETATION CENTER, return to the hotel Dinner and overnight.

DAY 2.- Tortuga Bay - Bay Tour

After a delicious breakfast, we will visit the TORTUGA BAY BEACH, where we will take a walk of approximately 45 minutes to the beach. Tortuga Bay is a beach of approximately 2 km long, white sand formed by fish bones and white coral; considered a sanctuary for iguanas, sea turtles and other species where you can swim, return to the Hotel. After LUNCH, we will move to the passenger dock where we will begin the navigation known as the BAY TOUR. In the afternoon, after a navigation of 15 to 20 minutes approximately, we will begin our tour of the Bay in the open sea. We will visit LA LOBERÍA, where you will enjoy a unique and incomparable experience swimming and snorkeling with sea lions, sea turtles and reef fish.

DAY 3 - Santa Cruz - SCY: Cerro Tijeretas - Punta Carola

We will visit Tijeretas Hill, located 2 km southwest of San Cristobal Island. Named after the local frigate birds, whose tail ends in the shape of scissors, it was one of the first places where the English biologist Charles Robert Darwin landed. It is the ideal place to enjoy a spectacular view of the white sand beaches on one side (Punta Carola). Tijeretas Hill is located a short distance from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno. The hill is frequently visited by frigates, hence its name.

DAY 4.- Laguna del Junco - Galapaguera - Puerto Chino

We will leave early in the morning to El Junco Lagoon, located 19 kilometers from the port inside a large volcano, now extinct, its name comes from a type of plant that is common in its surroundings, called "junco". The lagoon is also surrounded by Miconia, a species of flora endemic to Galapagos, and it is also one of the favorite sites for frigate birds that fly and brush its waters with fresh water. Its diameter is 270 meters and its maximum depth is 6 meters. It is fed only with rainwater, in times of drought decreases to 1 m. and when there are heavy rains increases its level to overflow forming a stream. The lagoon of El Junco has an area of 60,000 m2 and its volume is 360,000 m3, equivalent to 9 million gallons of water. We will continue our journey to Puerto Chino, located 24.5 km away from Puerto Baquerizo Moreno and a few kilometers from the breeding center next to Cerro Colorado. The access is by land to a gravel mine, from that point you must walk a path of approximately 1475 meters to reach the coral sand beach. It is very important to bring water to drink, a hat and sunscreen. The reflection of the sun on the white sand is very strong. The beach is an excellent place for recreation and rest. It is also an ideal place to observe marine birds feeding.

DIA 5.- Transfer Out - Aeropuerto

Breakfast and departure from the hotel to take our flight back to the continent.
