Enter into a magical journey through the paths of the Qhapaq Ñan in the Pesillo hill, which in ancient times served as a temple and strategic place to worship the sun and offer to the gods. At the top of this mountain, there is a panoramic view of Ibarra, the majestic Cusín hill, the snow-capped Cayambe and San Pablo Lake. The path, in harmony with nature, leads to the "big window"; a spectacular rock formation with a hole 12 meters high and more than 100 meters in size. Next to it, the 15-meter-high guardian Lion rock, whose figure resembles a face, protects the trail with its gaze.

DESCRIPTION
Learn more about one of the routes of the Qhapaq Ñan (Inca Trail) with this majestic adventure crowned with rock formations in the form of holes or windows. The Pesillo hill is a magical place that provides a connection with the cosmos and the Pacha Mama, this site would have been used in ancient times as a strategic point for the celebration of rituals in praise of the sun and as a temple of offerings to the gods. Besides being an important archaeological vestige, its location at the top provides a splendid viewpoint from where you can easily see the city of Ibarra, the Cusin hill, the snow-capped Cayambe and Lake San Pablo. This hill is part of the pucarás line, located 6 km from the house of Hacienda Pesillo, its route is harmonious and when you reach the big window, you can admire a spectacular view, because its hole has a height of 12 m and the size of its rock has a dimension of more than 100 m., next to this spectacular rock is the Guardian Lion, 15 meters high rock in the shape of a face that also shows traces of human intervention.

ITINERARY
06:30 departure point.
07:20 First stop: Portal, second meeting point (optional).
09:30 Arrival at the destination, we will introduce ourselves to the group and do an important warm up before starting our adventure.
10:00 Start of adventure, we will begin the hike from the Pesillo hacienda to the lagoons of the Pesillo hill, walking approximately 3 hours with hydration stops every 45 min.
13:00 Break, we will have a break to eat our personal lunch at the big window of Pesillo, followed by an illustrative and knowledgeable moment, explaining the history of the site and the view of the Guardian Lion.
13:30 We will start the descent of the pucará.
15:30 we board the bus to return to our point of return at 17:30.
